Project Name: You are my sunshine
For: Mother’s Day
Description: For this painting, I had to freehand the whole thing. I had sketched out what I was going to paint, but then I had to paint the black background. I ended up painting over my sketch and went straight in with the paint instead of sketching over the black paint. I did look at my reference photo, but I always draw first then put paint over it. I was definitely challenged with this painting because I didn’t have a sketch, but I am very happy with how it turned out!
